How organisations use SharePoint and Viva Engage to support strategy, connect distributed teams, and navigate change at scale.
Retail
A UK retailer had just acquired a new business and were going through significant organisational change.
They wanted to implement a new digital workplace on Microsoft 365 that would support their new business strategy and onboarding of around 10,000 employees to an already 12,000-strong workforce.
We designed a digital workplace suite that included:
- Intranet on SharePoint
- Viva Engage (including strategy, pilot and roll-out)

Construction
A US-based engineering firm, with 2,000 staff across 50 locations, wanted to make sure that they benefited from the wealth of experience and expertise among their geographically dispersed workforce.
We helped them roll out Viva Engage, defining strategy, governance and facilitating a pilot and training sessions.
Viva Engage was used to communicate changes and socialise ideas, as well as provide a new way for disconnected colleagues to connect and share their knowledge with others at the point of need. "Centre of Excellence" communities were created, where engineers would ask, "I've got an issue with this, can anyone share advice on how to tackle it?".
They would receive advice from other engineers across the country - people that they would otherwise not know or communicate with.
Viva Engage became the most popular feature of the new digital workplace, attracting more views and interactions than any other content.

Pharma
A global pharma company were planning an organisational restructure which was likely to cause a lot of uncertainty and confusion in their employee base. The reshuffle would mean new reporting lines for staff based on new geographical groupings. In addition, there were new faces in the senior leadership teams and new strategic priorities.
We used Viva Engage for introductions and AMA (ask me anything) sessions with the newly appointed senior leaders.
Feedback from employees via surveys following the initiative was extremely positive, indicating that they were well informed and had an opportunity to ask questions about the changes.
Senior leaders also commented that they made connections with individuals in the business that helped with their transition.
